She has worked in the UK, India, and Botswana, accruing significant expertise in anaesthesia and medical ICU management. From 2014 to 2020, she served as a Consultant Anaesthesiologist at Sita Bhateja Specialty Hospital and was a freelance Consultant from June 2020 to the present. Dr. Soumya has actively participated in academic research, including a thesis on the induction of general anaesthesia with Propofol versus Sevoflurane and its effects on laryngeal mask airway insertion and hemodynamic changes. Her professional affiliations include memberships in various anaesthesiology and pain societies, reflecting her commitment to ongoing professional development and contribution to the field.
